^{St Nicholas Church:}    

^{Stop and say hi to Santa! St Nicholas is the original Santa Clause! In Kale this large church was built in the 6th century. The town and church were destroyed by 7th and 9th century invaders. It was restored in the 11th century. Over time sand and silt from the shifting riverbed covered the church. Excavation and restoration was carried out by Russians in the mid-19th century; silt nearly buried it again by 1903. A new period of restoration was begun by the Antalya Museum and Ankara University in 1989. A hidden arcade with frescoes of the life of Nicholas is being uncovered.}

^{St Nicholas Island:}

^{Also called Gemiler Island. The small coves around the island are great for swimming and relaxing. Sights of Byzantine ruins with mosaic floors will make a ramble ashore worthwhile. Spend the night moored near the island}

^{Myra Rock Tombs:}

^{The ruins of Myra are situated 5 km inland, between the modern town and the sea.  The acropolis of the city of Myra is situated on top of the cliffs containing the Lycian rock tombs. The city walls, dating from the Hellenistic and Roman Periods, are still to be seen protecting the acropolis. The rock tombs cover the southern cliffs below the acropolis. Apart from the tombs beside the theatre, others are to be seen on the river banks and in the surrounding cliffs.}

^{Gokkaya Bay:}

^{Twisted claws of stone emerge from the water and jagged islets seemed to rise and fall with the tides – no wonder Greek sailors considered them the barbs of Poseidon’s trident. It’s as though you are entering an ancient water maze, with a million coves hidden from the rest of the world.}

^{Smugglers Inn Disco:}

^{Smugglers Inn is a cute little night club based on Kekova Island. You can only get to it by boat, so it gets really busy with other yachts. It’s a great place to party and meet fellow passengers from other yacht cruises.}

^{Sunken City of Kekova:}

^{The ancient city of Kekova was once joined to the mainland but following a series of earthquakes many centuries ago is now to be found six metres below the sea. This area is now designated as ‘off limits’ to swimmers due to prior tourists trying to take a little of Ancient Turkey home with them. Also see if you can spot the flying fish.}

^{Simena Castle:}

^{Kalekoy village, its present day name, has Simena castle located on top of it. Kalekoy (Simena) which faces Kekova island is remarkable with its historical cites left from the Lycian era and we know that the history of the ancient city of Simena goes back to the 4th century B.C. The Lycian Castle, which has been restored during the Middle Ages, still stands proudly with a small amphitheatre.}

^Kas:

^{With its busy little harbor filled with fishing boats, gullets and yachts, Kas is a polular tourist town that hasn’t lost any of its Turkish old-worldly charm. Kaþ was founded 2,500 years ago and ancient Lycian rock tombs, sarcophagi and an amphitheater with spectacular veiws of the water remain. You can meander through the palm lined streets of Kaþ, stopping to look at the historic houses with their Ottoman wooden balconies and checking out the shops with souvenirs, handicrafts, leather goods, copper and silver items, cotton clothing, spices and, of course, handmade carpets.}

^{Firnaz Bay/ Kalkan: Aquarium bay:}

^{A good spot for some more snorkelling or maybe a test of fishing skills with the locally preferred hand lines. Spend the night here on the Olympos to Fethiye cruises.}

^{Butterfly Valley:}

^{This beautiful canyon which is best accessed by boat is located at the base of Mt Babadag. This natural reserve, hosts 136 kinds of different butterflies and moths. At the back of the Valley, the 60m high waterfall runs from the top down through a canopy of trees which shelter the abundance of unique Butterfly species. The Waterfall trails out onto the white pebbled beach}

^{Blue Lagoon/Oludeniz:}

^{Ölüdeniz Beach is Turkey’s most beautiful, also its most famous and popular. It has been described as ‘the Eden bestowed by God to the World’, and has a 3 km long beach. Having an appearance of natural lagoon with its tepid and standing water during ten months of the year. Boats are not allowed to moor in Oludeniz, but the boat will park close if possible.}
